RATIONALE:

To clarify appropriate usage of injury time earn codes on the monthly payroll voucher

PSOP:

In the “Add Dates” section, on the “basic” tab, employees can choose PTO, Sick, Holiday. Click on the “advanced” tab to see these other codes. You must request access to the expanded Injury codes using the ePTO Support Form: http://hr.iu.edu/hrms/ePTO/ePTOsupport.html

 

ePTO Recording Hours: The codes available to record for Injury are:

  • INJ (first 40 hours paid)VOUCHER: no change to monthly payroll voucher
  • IJM (Injury – No Pay-PAE w/benefits), record hours that Worker’s Comp will compensate directly.VOUCHER: enter IJM on the voucher and a NEGATIVE amount that should NOT be paid. This amount will be subtracted from the monthly salary so they are not overpaid.
  • IJP (PTO used for Injury)– doesn’t count towards yearly usage max. VOUCHER: no change to the monthly voucher.
  • IJS (Sick used for Injury)– to keep track of hours used during Injury. VOUCHER: no change to the monthly voucher.
  • IJH (Holiday used for Injury)– to record holiday hours used during Injury. VOUCHER: no change to the monthly voucher.
  • INH (Honorary Vac used for Injury – PB Plan Only) – to record honorary hours used during Injury. VOUCHER: no change to the monthly voucher.
  • INA (Absent used for Injury)– to record unpaid absent hours during Injury. VOUCHER: enter ABE and the appropriate number of hours.
